Elephants are my absolute favorite animal. They are so beautiful, gentle, sacred, and smart as hell. I adore all things elephant. I have a bedazzled elephant on my keys, yes unsaid bedazzled, a glass statue over my tv, photos of elephants in India and many other little jewels with the ginormous creatures. La, my partner sister and roommate, ventured out to the amazing San Diego Zoo over break and all I asked of her was to provide me with a photo of an elephant. Here you have it. It's a gorgeous photo and I was thrilled when I saw it. And also I was a tad jealous she got to see this beauty so up close and personal. One of these days I will do the same and even, hopefully, have a face to trunk encounter. It's a priority on my bucket list.
