This was my lunch today. And it was oh so delish. Now I'm in Carrollton Georgia with LJ experiencing her small town southern comforts with a downtown street fair and concert. So wonderful.

Did I mention I was homesick? I think I did. And seeing this picture of my family in our living room jamming out on Sunday night makes me even more homesick. But I'm going home with LJ this weekend to be with her family so that will give me enough to get through.

Oh Momma
September 26th, 2011
Photo #345
My darling mother always surprises me with random little text messages here and there. This one came in last night and I almost died. My cousins from Switzerland are visiting my parents in NY and they brought a bunch of their friends with them. They all just finished med school and are going on a little world adventure before they begin the real medial profession. I skyped with everyone last night and got so home sick. I miss home so much and seeing my Swiss family is so few and far between that I hate to miss out. But after our video chat I got this message from my Momma and couldn't help but smile and laugh. The question is, where are these men she speaks of?

Wedding Ladies
September 25th, 2011
Photo #344
This was supposed to follow the previous post from the wedding but well, that got lost in the shuffle. After dancing our little booties off at the wedding, we all ventured downtown for some honkey tonking. Typical Nashville. But this picture was snapped and it's just too perfect for words and everyone looks amazingly stunning. Feeling like a southern belle in this one.

LJ and I are dates to a wedding this evening. Clearly the best duo around. And when Single Ladies was played by the band we were the only hotmesses holding down the dance floor. Props to the #houseoflove for repping the streets with pride and epic dance moves.

This is why I love Nashville and am so grateful to be working in the music industry. It's a Thursday night and the best writers in the business are playing at a back yard party. It's so low key and so wonderful that I couldn't help but come out and enjoy it this evening.

My boss absolutely made my Monday when she brought this incredible little gift into my office this morning. She knows that this is my go to saying in any situation and has never heard anyone use it as much as I do. The thought was so incredibly lovely that it literally made my entire day. I know I've said it before, but it really is all about the simple things in life and little gestures from others that make all the difference in the world. Now I have this fabulous little nugget to sit upon my desk and remind me every day that this problem free philosophy are words to live by.

Tennessee Fan
September 18th, 2011
Photo #337
I went to my first Tennessee Titans game this afternoon. I have only ever been to one other NFL game back in high school so this was rather exciting today. Plus, now that I officially call Nashville home it's about time I officially become a Titans fans. Soon it will also be a Predators fan as well. It's the little things like cheering on a football team that make me realize I have planted my roots and really begun that next phase of my life. Pretty epic and I love it all.

How cool this photo? Elephants are my absolute favorite and when I saw this I could not help but love it. This is in the middle of NYC and was created out of some sort of shrub. I mean really, how can you not think it's the coolest thing ever? The day I see something like this in Nash I will about lose it and demand it be placed somewhere in the #houseoflove. I'm starting my search now.

West Coast Reunion
September 16th, 2011
Photo #335
A huge perk of traveling to LA this week, not that my entire job isn't one incredible perk, I got to reunite with my A-team for one very special evening. I haven't seen this beautiful blondie since we graduated IC and she made the big move to The City Of Angels and I took off like a free bird below the Mason Dixon Line. It was so wonderful to see her. We got to catch up, reminisce, and of course laugh with and at one another, something that was a constant in our lives for the past two and half years. Having true friends like Miss AD are too beautiful for words. It doesn't matter when, where, or how far because when given the chance to reunite we make it happen and pick up right where we left off. Life is crazy and doesn't make a whole lot of sense most of the time but when I'm with the amazing, true young women I am honored to call my friends, it all becomes clear and totally understandable.

Love, Life And The Pursuit
September 15th, 2011
Photo #334
I really have been missing a serious amounts of posts lately. I apologize, it's just been a heck of a journey the last few weeks with my new incredible career that allows for me to travel rather frequently. And this week it took me back to Los Angeles, as blogged about in the previous post. It was actually a great time. All of our shows and gigs were amazing and there was some downtime that allowed me to really bond with my new family of coworkers. I truly am a very lucky girl. I know I worked my ass off to get to where I am, but I will never forget how fortunate I am. I recently went through, and actually still going through, a pretty tough and lonely time, mainly inside my own head, thinking that certain key things were missing in my life. I thought that by fighting for what I believed in and for what I knew I loved all would finally be complete. That of course, as life so tenderly loves to do to us, did not work out in my favor. Heat break and disappointment are never easy, but they do teach you a lesson. And I myself came to a realization that the past is in the past for a reason. It didn't follow me here or fight for me to keep it in the present because because it's the past. As in no longer, done, and most importantly different than what it used to be. I can't, and all of us for that matter, let one thing in our lives consume us so that it begins to darken the immaculately bright and shining things that we have here and now in our present. Don't get me wrong, this is all much easier typed out in a blog post late at night on a plane ride home as opposed to actually applying it to my life, but we've got to start somewhere don't we? Sometimes I think of myself as being so stupid as to let something like a beautiful memory of my past get the best of me. Especially for letting myself think it would all really work out and be the perfect thing it never truly got the chance to be. But such is life. If we were handed all the things we wanted that would make us feel like we have reached perfection, there would be no beauty to discover in the disaster. If this past would have made it's way into actually being my present, I would not be living in the amazing place I now call home. I wouldn't have the career I've worked my whole life to finally attain. I wouldn't be fulfilled with my accomplishments and have pride in my Independence and success. I wouldn't have all these new and inspiring people surrounding me. I would have that one love, but I'm not so sure I'm convinced on the whole "All you need is love" bit they talk so highly about. I mean of course you need love, but love in the broader sense of the word. And most importantly love in yourself. Love in your own mind, body, spirit and soul so that you can have all the other things fall into place on their own time. I gave up one chance of something when I left home almost four months ago, but I've gained entirely so, so much more along my pursuit. So as tired out as that other saying "Everything happens for a reason" is, I definitely believe it does. As much as we don't want things to happen the way they do at the time, when enough time passes where you are allowed to heal and move on, when you look back on it all you do is come to realize that it happened that way to get you to where you should me. I'm slowly getting through that healing and moving on phase, which comes in due time. But now I know I sure as hell can't let it bring me, and all the other once in a lifetime opportunities I now have on a regular basis, down and take away from it. As someone very, very wise once told me (and this will be the last cliche saying I throw at you) "Too blessed to be stressed."

Its another empty few days for the #houseoflove this week. You've see our weekly updates before, ridiculous humor and all, so I'm pretty sure this photo speaks for itself today. My alarm is set for 3:45am and I'm on a plane to Los Angeles at 6am. So I am in bed and ready to knock out right now way before 9pm. It's another whirlwind 36 hour trip so I need as much rest as possible. Still can't believe I'm going back to LA though. I mean, I'm looking forward to it because of work and all that's lined up, but I loathed that city while I lived there. There is even a video of me stating that I will never return to Los Angeles. So funny how life brings you back around to places for another go around but in a completely different context and circumstances. I am looking forward to it, I can't lie, but once again only because of work and what we have set up for the day and half we are there. Plus I may even get to squeeze in some reunion time with my college roomie who is kicking ass out there in the marketing world. Alright LA, I'll give you one more shot.

Today was a huge day at the office. The album we've all been working so hard on around the clock was finally released to the masses. And to amazing, positive, and loving feedback none the less. It was such an exciting and insane time to come into this job two weeks before the release but it was well worth it to get me up to speed and on the right page to take over everything I am now responsible for. Not to mention I have the greatest team of people on the planet to work with. So today at 5pm we popped a bottle of champagne and enjoyed some downtime with one another. Mazel tov to us all!

Only my roommate LJ would come face to face with a character like this along her travels. I swear to you she finds the craziest and most absurd things while she out on the road for work. I mean really? Do you see this spectacle of an outfit? Being rocked without hesitation open and honestly in an airport none the less. Only in America.

Before I start today's post I just want to say that I in now way disregard the meaning of today. Ten years ago was an immense devastation on our country and has changed the entire course of history. Where the last ten years have gone I am not sure. But it was a total emotional wakeup call to watch all the memorials and special and realize what an effect it still has on so many people. It's impossible to deny that it's been put out of many people's mind because we weren't directly effected by the loss and heartbreak. So before I write about the amazing pizza I had in Chicago, yes so vain in the grand scheme of things, I want it to be known that today I sent out all my love, positivity, and remembrance in honor of this anniversary. And to segue into today's photo I will make it short and sweet. I was determined not to leave Chicago until I indulged in the traditional deep dish stuffed pizza. Holy cheese it was incredible. I could only eat on slice but it was well worth it. As a thin crust loving New Yorker I was almost convinced on this deliciousness. Good, but not as good as NY pizza.

Daily Mantra
September 10th, 2011
Photo #329
Today is my first day traveling for work. Getting on a plane and jet setting to a new place is always something I have adored. But traveling in this industry is a whole other level. We are in Chicago for 36 hours and from the second we got off the plane it's nonstop. We only had time to check into the hotel and drop our bags before having to be in the car and on the way to the venue. It never stops when you're on the road for shows. But that is the nature of the beast and I'm ready to snuggle with this beast every day without a doubt. Which brings me to today's photo, a friend of mine in NYC tweeted it a few days ago and I just couldn't help but love it. What a great daily mantra to have in a routine that is so day to day and on the run. I've been meaning to share this one for a while so here you go. Incorporate this into your daily thought process and you can't go wrong.

Friday Relaxation
September 9th, 2011
Photo #328
I can't remember the last time I've had a no talk relaxing Friday night to myself. The past month it feels like has been jammed with visitors, celebrations, get aways, and weddings every single weekend. Please I am not making a fuss over those and the partying that went along with it all, but I am just worn out. Especially with all my excitement and insanity at work I feel like I haven't had time to just seriously veg out. But tonight that is exactly what I am doing. The #houseoflove is empty and will be completely vacant come to tomorrow when I head out of town for work, so I'm posted up on the couch all cozy under a blanket getting all the rest I need before the huge workweek ahead that starts tomorrow. So now I bid you all adieu so I can completely disconnect for the next 24 hours. Thank you and good night.

I'm taking a social night out this evening with an old coworker of mine who I rarely get to see. We had a fabulous hibachi dinner and now it's time for bowling. Boys vs. Girls none the less. We are just taking a little trip back to middle school except incorporating some adult beverages to make this Thursday a little more epic. Not to mention how fabulous our fashion apparel is for the evening.

My life has been consumed by my new career. And trust me, homegirl is not complaining. I am at my dream job and loving every second of it. We are so busy with so much going on that I'm almost not sure where the last week has gone. Hence missing yesterday's blog. But heres a little look at what days consist of in my office. If only you could see the jam packed calendar and constant email updates. But I am absolutely in love and would not trade a thing! This is what I came to do and I've done it.

It's a lazy Tuesday in the #houseoflove filled with catching up on the DVR and cookies and milk. Quality evening doesn't even come close. But one of our wild animals was not the happiest camper in his quiet time sweater. He was actually very angry that his Aunties forced him to pose for a photo. We, clearly, thought it was hilarious.

Quarter Life Crisis
September 5th, 2011
Photo #324
Not only did I have my best friend from home in town this weekend, it was also my amazingly fabulous roommate DD's birthday. The 25th birthday too. All the more reason to celebrate. And boy did we do so in our typical socialite fashion. Today's photo gives that a little justice. Loving life and absolutely exquisite. I didn't continue the celebrations this evening because of a big week at work, but I did receive an epic phone call from the other three members of our humble abode. My goodness do I adore them. I can't imagine living any place else. If this is a quarter life crisis, we sure all hell look great doing it.

Broadway Background

This weekend has been nothing short of epic. Having my best friend in town was the best thing in the world and exactly what I needed. Not to mention we took on downtown Nashville like a bat out of hell and had an amazing time. Today's photo was taken last night while bouncing around from one honkey tonk to another. This is a gorgeous photo if I do say so myself. Not to the mention having the backdrop of downtown in the midst of a Saturday night. Great photo, even greater women.

September 2nd, 2011

My best friend from home is in the Nashville for the first time and I could not be happier. We hit the town like a whirlwind last night and this hot little pic surfaced from some point during our dance session. Stay tuned for tonight's hot pic.

The Sweetest Thing
September 1st, 2011
Photo #320
Well, shoot September where in the world did you come from?? In honor of my BFF from NY coming to Nashville tomorrow, and the fact that LJ had never seen this movie meaning she never understood every single quote I use on a daily basis, we watched one of my all time favorite movies tonight. My goodness I haven't laughed like that in a while. This film has been a staple in my life since the 8th grade. My one group of friends and I from home have a cult like obsession with it and can have literal conversations of just lines from this movie. For whatever reason most people just don't get why we think it's so damn hilarious. Well to that response I have to say, if you have not seen it go as fast as you possibly can to do so and if you don't laugh or think it's stupid you clearly don't have the ridiculous goofy sense of humor that a small selective group of us do. It's the small and sweet things during the day to day that make you laugh, no matter what they may be you'll laugh at it at one point or another. Jesus look it's Jesus!!
