Photo #365
Wow. I'm not sure I really know where to start here. One whole year later I begin to write my last blog post. Where one entire year has gone I just couldn't tell you. It really doesn't feel like one year has came and gone. One year ago today, I was sitting in Ithaca, NY coming up with the idea of this little 365 project. A way for me to chronicle one of the most pivotal years in my twenties. Now, I sit in my room in Nashville, TN looking at Photo #1 which now sits beautifully in a frame on my dresser. A reminder of where I've been, where I'm going and who I am. I don't think its possible to recap an entire year. So much has happened, so much has changed. I've loved, I've lost. I've left things behind, yet gained so, so much more. I grew up so much within this time span its crazy. I've gained the power to be on my own, support myself, and have the means to find all the things I want out of life. I've landed my dream job in the music industry working for one of the most success country acts in the business. It's still a dream come true every day, but I never stop thanking those who got me here and I never forget where I came from. I've established a new home in a new city that I couldn't love any more. I've met some of the most incredible people, and discovered the true ones who will be in my life forever. What have a I learned? Oh goodness way too many things. Don't pull out of the garage without looking or the mirror gets ripped off. It takes at least 20 minutes to get to the office so leave the house with that much time as to not be late. Don't drink tequila on Thursdays, that needs to be saved where an entire day of recovery is available the next day. But enough about the don'ts. Never hold back what I'm feeling. Always stand up for myself and the ones I love. Fight for the things that are important, but learn to let go when the timing isn't right. Stop looking for the answers and the perfection, they come to us when we least expect it and the beauty in them is unmatchable. Call your parents and tell them you love them. Embrace every moment and soak up each little detail because time flies by way too quickly, clearly. Savor every memory I can. And most importantly I've learned, today's photo (thanks to my beautiful sister for this one) "Let the beauty of what you love be what you do". If you practice that intention every day, I don't think you can go wrong. Even if what you love isn't what others consider loveable, still love it and still do it. Do things for yourself and then the rest will come together. It seems and sounds like a selfish act but the balance of what you do for others falls into place when you do what you love for yourself. A part of me knows I am such a different person from the girl who started this blog just one year ago. But there is the other part of me that is still just me. A big dreamer, with big ambitions who never stops reaching even after the goals have been achieved. Still a red head (for those who know me it's amazing I've had the same hair color for a year, but I'm sticking with this one). Still a hopeless romantic. Still a lover, friend, yogi, feminist, weirdo. All combined together in a crazy beautiful sort of way. Over the past year I've definitely been on that journey to find out all these things about myself. And you know what, I'm not going to solidify that knowledge in just one year. But this has been one hell of year. I wouldn't trade one laugh, one tear, one broken heart, one drunken night, one stressful move, one ridiculous fight, one way too long of a road trip, one inappropriate action, nothing. It was all perfect in it's imperfections. And, one year later, I am where I am supposed to be. This is only the beginning. The most pivotal years of my life are now just approaching my sight, and if they are anything like this past year, I cannot wait to dive right in and breathe in every ounce of beauty.

Southern Football
October 15th, 2011
Photo #364
I have finally experienced my first real big time southern college football game. SEC style and everything. LJ and I went to the Georgia Vandy game this evening and had an absolute blast. I learned all the UGA lingo and everything. Plus I even got to see the amazing team I work with at the tailgate. So lovely. Now we are at a local bar enjoying some beer and wings and watching another football game. Southern and classy. But the craziest thing, tomorrow is the las day of my blog. One whole year later. Incredible. I better start thinking about tomorrows post now..

Rowdie

It has been one lovely Friday evening. I made my first lasagna, mushroom and spinach, and now I'm drinking vino on the couch with my wifey and D. Accompanied by the amazing game that is Scategories. And this little guy playing along with us is Rowdie. He always brings the party and can always make you laugh. I've literally been dying when D or LJ makes him talk. Yes, he is an actually person who chimes in on the conversation whenever necessary. Who needs the downtown bars when you can sit in your pjs with the ones you adore and laugh til the sun comes up?

Go Preds
October 13th, 2011

I attended my very first Nashville Preds hockey game this evening. I had such a blast. We totally got the star treatment and sat in the suite with never ending food and beverages. Unfortunately the Preds lost, but I now officially feel like a Nashvillian. This is home.

I don't think I could have asked for a better mid-week celebration. There is absolutely no reason to celebrate, except the fact that life is good and I'm in amazing company. Plus I never need an actual reason to drink red wine, eat ice cream, and listen to records. What a wonderful life it really can be.

An Apple A Day
October 11th, 2011
Photo #360
Look at me blogging on schedule and getting an actual photo from today up on the blog. Epic. It's obviously because I had this amazing delicious apple today. You know what they say about an apple a day doing the body and soul good. This photo does not even come close to do the size of this Honey-crisp justice. Apples this fresh and gorges are insanely expensive down here in the south because they are carted in from the amazingly wonderful upstate NY. All I've wanted to do was go apple picking this fall and that just hasn't seemed to happen which is honestly depressing. So when I went to the market yesterday day and saw perfect brown bags of these beauties I could not resist. They not only look and taste like home, but they smell like home. What I wouldn't give to be drinking hot apple cider on the Woodstock Green or strolling through the Ithaca Farmers Market. If this is as close as I'm going to get for now, I will be buying a bag of these delectable fruits every other day.

I made these beautiful little friends at the wedding this weekend. I couldn't help not taking a picture of the darling flower girls. They matched and couldn't have looked more adorable.

Old Time Glamour
October 7th, 2011
Photo #356
I love anything to do with old times and vintage. I've blogged about it before and there is just something about things from the past that have been restored to be beautiful. I saw these chandeliers and couldn't help but absolutely adore them. They bring some much more than light to a room. Atmosphere and perfection.

I just booked my flight home for the holidays today and I am SO excited about it. By the time I get back to New York it will have been over six months since I've been there. I don't know where all this time has gone but I have pretty much loved every second of it. Speaking of time, I have only TEN blog posts left until I have completed my 365 project. Say what?! Where the last year has gone, I could not even tell you. It feels like just yesterday I began this beautiful photo journey. But I don't want to get into a serious reflection until the last and final post. So you will have to wait with bated breath for about another week until you get the big finale.

Sweet Melody

If you don't know this artist or this song, you are desperately missing some amazing music. This gem lives on my sleepy time playlist and never fails to serenade me into sweet dreams. Here's your tip for today, well technically yesterday because I missed another post, download (legally) some Amos Lee for your iTunes library.

So Cozy
October 4th, 2011
Photo #353
Speaking of being smitten, I was so much so that I may or may not have been in the appropriate work attire this morning. Good thing I work in the music industry so wearing the same similar leggings and a men's button-down isn't even thought about or looked at. #happygirl

Yes the #houseoflove is looking to relocate. This is a possibility. I was a little too smitten last night to blog about it. So here you go.

Beautiful Day
October 2nd, 2011
Photo #351
Fall weather has finally arrived. Yes, even in the south. I can't tell you how much I adore this time of year. And I would do anything for it to stay this way. We had a fabulous weekend in Georgia and got to enjoy every drop of the sunshine and cool breeze. LJ and I posed for this lovely photo before the football game. Blue skies, best friends, and fall fashion. Perfection.

Piggy Back

Ok first off, happy October! I don't know where the time, let alone this past year has gone. But I'm in the small town southern comfort of Carollton celebrating homecoming. It's been a long day of festivities but the night is just beginning. And as you can see, tonight's gonna be a good night. Thank you Black Eyed Peas.
