But being a Gemini and I can never make a decision or be happy with just one thing. This also applies to lots of other things in my life other than lunch. Anyways, today my lunch was quite the plethora of goodies and choices. Yum yum yum!

Flavour-full Happy Hour

Work has been pretty busy this week and it's only Tuesday. But we've taken on a fun little project to get the word out about our fabulous store and amazing styles. We will be hosting a Happy Hour celebration with fun cocktails and clothing. Social media is one of our biggest outreach sources so I threw together this little collage to promote our little shindig this week. What better way to kick off this holiday weekend and the summer as a whole with a trendy cocktail party at the trendiest store in Nash!

After a long day of working a little over time, I arrived home to cook dinner with my little LJ and relax. It was ever so lovely and delicious. We made this new recipe of fresh goat cheese and honey on baguette. Don't you dare knock it til you try it. Amaaaazing and so yummy. Another successful night at the House Of Love.

The breaking news is a few days late but I could not not post this. New York has officially become the largest state to legalize gay marriage!! As a full blooded New Yorker, I couldn't be more proud. And not going to lie I'm a bit sad that I'm not in Chelsea on 21st and 9th frolicking in the pride parade taking it all in. It all makes me a little homesick, but also makes me so proud to be where I am from. Open mindedness and equality have finally reached the ones on top and become an official part of our lives and society. Its about damn time! And now its time to celebrate, embrace, and rejoice in the fact that people have finally realized love and commitment is for everyone no matter who you choose. New York has never looked more beautiful and I can see the bright lights, the victory, and the love all the way down here in Nashville. I <3 NY.

Happy Tourist

Oppsie daisy. I missed a blog last night. It was a rather long day of work followed with a lovely dinner with my little lovers. Which then of course turned into a decision game on whether or not to hit the town for a Saturday night. And that game lasted quite a while and didn't get our fabulous booties out until midnight. There was a lot of craziness in between then so blogging got lost along the way. But I did snap this precious gem of a photo super late night in the Walgreens parking lot. That was the only place we could satisfy our slight drinking induced food cravings and LJ got a bit distracted when she came across this fabulous bedazzled visor. We are hitting the beach on Friday for the holiday weekend and being the classy individuals we are, LJ has been stocking up on sparkly accessories and borderline trashy cover ups, see a few posts previous for more evidence. But don't you worry, they will be just perfect for Panama City. No one will even bat an eyelash at us wearing things like this. And of course we will be rocking it all without hesitation and bringing hell to ring in America's little birthday.

That Kind Of Friday Night

This has been a long week and today feels even longer. I've been working a ton and there have been a few ups and downs along the way. My body is exhausted and sore. I'm craving every food that is terrible for me. And I'm feeling a little let down. So this evening I'm calling it a cozy night in with a pint of fresh berries and a bag of chocolate covered goodies. I'm looking forward to getting a good nights rest and moving forward into the positive bright future that lies ahead.

I went to lunch this afternoon with my roommate and a lovely friend of hers. Despite the hotmess that was the two of us after NKOTBSB and the ridiculous run in we had at the restaurant, it was a very enjoyable lunch. The best part, this beautiful sweet girl Livvy. I legit cried when I saw her today because she is exactly like my puppy Jade that I miss way too much. I mean come on, how much do they look alike? And how gorgeous?? Ahhh I'm obsessed. Such a delight this afternoon.

It's the first day of summer. I'm living in Nashville. It's a Tuesday night and I'm out with my gorgeous roommates at the NKOTBSB concert downtown. 1995 has been put into a bedazzled bottle and is being poured all over 40,000 women and gay men. Make Money

I received my first paycheck as a freelancer and Tennessee resident today. Yay for big girl and real life things! It wasn't much but for this one gig that I did work it was amazing that this paycheck was even offered. My new life here in the south is more than I ever hoped for. I'm so happy and finally feeling like my independent strong confident self again. I'm officially a young woman supporting myself on all things that I am doing and yes it's hard to keep it all together, but I am doing it. And for 22 and having graduated college less than a month ago, I'm thinking it's pretty impressive. Not to toot my own horn...but maybe just one little beep beep.

I got the greatest picture by means of text message last night. My little D who is ever so far away in the great state of CT passed this little gem along. Her and I mastered the most epic move ever that is the creep so now wherever we go we can never not creep. Whether it be at the grocery store or the bar, you can't deny the creep. Ride For A Cure

Today was the perfect Sunday to give back and that is exactly what went down, southern country style of course. My incredible and hardworking roommate works for a non for profit organization that teams up with the band Little Big Town every year to do a Harley Davidson sponsored motorcycle ride and concert to benefit cancer research. Despite the heat, a ton of people came out to donate and show their support. Plus, LBT along with a great lineup of other country artists put on a rocking show this afternoon. I got to give my Momma a taste of country music and this new world I live and we got to support a great cause with great music and people. Successful Sunday if I do say so myself.

New Workout

Today was quite the afternoon. First and foremost I got to spend the day with my darling little Mac and got myself a part time job interview tomorrow. But the fun came when we went hunting for bedroom furniture via postings on craigslist. It was extremely successful! Got myself an armoire and a dresser from two different local Nashvilleites for like $100 all together! Such a steal and they are funky and perfectly mismatched. Plus my room is all unpacked and set up. I am a happy girl. Mac and I got quite the workout moving all this furniture around today let me tell you. And when my bed decided to basically fall apart from too much weight on it we had to go into super handy mode and pulled the whole thing apart to fix it and put it all back together. It was quite the sweat breaker but oh so successful. Now I am all set and feeling right at home. And even more so Mac and I are heading out to midtown this evening for some Thursday fun. Of course followed by a girls night sleep over!

Music Awards

Today has been, and still is, one long and hectic event. But I love every second of it. My first job post college and as a Nashville resident is working on the talent team of the CMT Music Awards. This is two years in the making and a dream coming true. I'm still on the very bottom of the industry but this is the foot in the door I need. I was just in house standing by offstage watching the performances and had one of those "is this really my life?" moments. Yes, this is really what I am doing and what I will continue to do.

I have been running around all day trying to get settled in my new bedroom. Huge success on getting a bed and mattress. But I am still in dire need of a dresser and/or chest of drawers. It is all coming together though so I can't complain! And tomorrow is my first gig so I can't stop now. But I did get a lovely pick me up through the craziness when I saw this amazing handmade banner in our living room. My roomie is such a peach and I actually cried when I saw this. I feel so amazing in my new home.

I have finally and officially arrived in Nashville. It was one hell of a drive but I made it and it was oh so worth it. I really don't know what to say. I am jumping right in. I got as settle as I could with no bedroom furniture then ran some errands and then came downtown for a production meeting. I've got myself a gig for Wednesday which is so exciting. I can't waste any time now that I'm here. But I can however still have some fun. Which is why I'm heading out with my lovely new roommates tonight for some dinner and drinks. My new southern life as begun and I know I'm right where I'm supposed to be.

Home Is Where The Heart Is

Today was a life changing day. I packed up and left home for my new chapter in Nashville. I'm in DC for a layover this evening and having a lovely little time before officially arriving in Nash tomorrow. I can't tell you how excited I am to start my new life, but leaving home was actually rather difficult this afternoon. I've talked about before how terrible I am with goodbyes and it was no different today. It's a very surreal experience and a lot of mixed emotions are running wild. I'm not going to lie, I sobbed my eyes out driving out of my hometown and for a good half hour of driving. I snapped this photo of the house I grew up in and my little pups as I drove away. Now I have not only a mental picture but also an actual tangible one. And as I got on the interstate, a song came on by one of my favorite country artists that was so perfect for this moment in my life. It's called "Home is where the heart is" and it's all about a girl who moves down south to follow her dreams but never truly leaves home...

Goodbye New York

Life has pushed the petal to the metal into high gear and there is no turning back. My new journey as an adult with my own life after college begins in less than 24 hours. I am fortunate enough to have some opportunities starting right away and there was no way I could put them on hold to stay in my hometown a few days longer. This is what I've wanted and worked so insanely hard for and I'm not letting it slip away. So begins my very last night in my little town where I've grown up. What a quintessential summer night it is too. I'm sitting on the trunk of my packed car popping bottles with my beautiful friends and loving life while throwing caution to the wind. So many emotions and feelings are coursing through my body but I'm riding the wave and letting it take me all the way back to Nashville where the next part of my story begins. But I am not the girl who will ever forget where she came from.

Legends At Twenty Two

I have officially celebrated my first real adult birthday. Twenty two has been an incredible celebration. I was fortunate enough to be given tickets to Levon Helm's midnight ramble in my hometown this evening. The Band is so spectacular I can't even put it into words. They have been jamming and making music for decades and it was phenomenal to be able to see them perform. Plus I got to be with my whole family and dance my booty off. Our generation brings nothing to the table when it comes to music and rock and roll, I'm sorry. What has been created during my time will never last the years that this music has. What an experience this was. I am one lucky girl and can already tell that twenty two is going to be the best year yet.

This evening I saw the movie Bridesmaids. Oh my god hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard and out loud in quite some time. I highly recommend it. Plus, the two lovely ladies I saw this flick with are both newly engaged so it made the movie that much more laughable and relatable. Quality evening at it's finest. Oh and, I'll be twenty-two in less than two hours....what?

I can not believe it's June! This is the month were my entire life is changing and really actually beginning. To celebrate me and my beautiful friends indulged in margarita night. It is never a dull moment and I can't explain how much I will miss them. But they give me the greatest support that makes all my decisions so worth it.
